All Karelia products have a wear layer according to European norm (3.6mm +/- 10% tolerance).
This wear layer can get sanded up to three times and will give you 50years+ of Karelia timber flooring in a normal residential application.

Iroko Colour change

Iroko is a timber species from Western Africa. Freshly installed it looks almost yellow. However, after a couple of months, it ages into a very nice rich, honey colour. This is the closest colour to a traditional NZ native timber species like Rimu.
